Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Application Analyst - Cross Application (Interface (Bridges)) is responsible for managing the full implementation cycle of interfaces, web services, and industry-standard APIs (such as FHIR), including analysis, design, specification, implementation, go-live, and ongoing support. The role involves collaborating closely with application teams, subject matter experts, and third-party application experts to understand business needs, document requirements, and configure interfaces accordingly. The Analyst partners with these groups to troubleshoot and resolve interface-related issues, supporting ongoing application projects as necessary. A significant aspect of the role is reviewing, triaging, and resolving daily interface errors, coordinating with technical teams, application teams, and third-party system representatives as required. Additionally, the position involves identifying and escalating risks tied to technical tasks and third-party systems, while coordinating activities such as testing, build, cutover planning, and go-live with various stakeholders, including vendors and technical teams. The role also entails collaborating with interface engine developers to create data-translation strategies that meet the needs of both Epic and third-party systems, and providing proactive support by monitoring live interfaces to promptly address and resolve issues. Off-hours work and participation in on-call rotation are required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Epic Certifications in one or more Epic applications (required within 180 days of hire)
Experience:
  1. Strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills
  2. Ability to understand business requirements and their impact on technical solutions
  3. Ability to work in a complex environment to manage multiple concurrent communication needs
  4. Skill at tracking tasks, defining next steps, identifying owners, and holding others accountable
  5. Ability to coordinate activities and facilitate meetings involving multiple stakeholders, including vendors,subject matter experts, interface engine developers, and end users
  6. EHR Configuration and Build Experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  1. Knowledge of system development methodology and principles of project management.
  2. Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  3. Technical knowledge and understanding of clinical systems.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively with staff.
  5. Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Managing the entire implementation cycle of interfaces, web services, and industry-standard APIs (such asFHIR), including analysis, design, specification, implementation, go-live, and support
  2. Working closely with application teams, subject matter experts, and third-party application experts to determine business needs, document requirements, and configure interfaces per the requirements.
  3. Partnering with these groups to diagnose and resolve interface-related issues and supporting ongoing application projects as needed.
  4. Reviewing, triaging, and resolving day-to-day interface errors, including coordinating with technical teams,application teams, and third-party system representatives as necessary
  5. Identifying and escalating risks associated with technical project tasks and third-party systems
  6. Coordinating interface-specific tasks and activities like testing, build, cutover planning, and go-live by engaging subject matter experts, vendors, server and networking teams, Epic Client System Administrators,and interface engine developers.
  7. Working with interface engine developers to develop data-translation strategies to support the needs of Epic and your third-party systems
  8. Providing proactive support by monitoring live interfaces and collaborating with experts to resolve issues
