Responsibilities

A client of Kforce, based in Saint Louis, MO, is seeking a Director of Accounting to join their team.Summary:In this leadership role, you will oversee the monthly financial close, consolidation, and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will supervise and develop accounting staff to optimize performance and resource utilization while supporting both internal and external audit activities to maintain compliance and strengthen financial controls.Responsibilities:
  • Manage monthly financial close, consolidation, and reporting processes across multiple brands with accuracy and timeliness
  • Oversee accounting operations, reviewing financial results and investigating variances for management insights
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Corporate Accounting, and international teams to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
  • Support internal and external audits and maintain strong internal controls
  • Lead system upgrades, integrations, and other key financial projects
  • Supervise and develop accounting staff to ensure efficiency and professional growth
  • Prepare and present key financial analyses and performance insights to senior leadership
  • Complete special projects and provide strategic support to management as needed
Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred
  • 7+ years of accounting or finance experience, including 3+ years in public accounting
  • Experience managing teams and working with international entities
  • Strong knowledge of consolidations, financial reporting, income taxes, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong PC and organizational skills
  • Preferred: Experience with SAP or similar general ledger systems


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
