Home Health Occupational Therapist (OT)

Opportunity: Tucson, Arizona

Status: Full Time or Part-Time (Part-time Minimum Expectation of 5 visits or 10 hours per week)

Rates: $70 - $95 per visit depending on experience, PLUS mileage and travel time

Your Role as a Home Health Occupational Therapist:

  • Provide occupational therapy to patients who struggle with daily tasks due to illness or injury.
  • Collaborate with a home health team potentially including an RN, LPN, CNA, HHA, PT, and SLP, focusing on patient care and personal goals.
  • Assess patients, observe deficits, and establish therapy goals while documenting progress.
  • Assist patients with exercises to enhance fine motor skills and coordination.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment such as grab bars and shower chairs to provide additional support.
  • Identify fall risks and implement strategies to improve home safety.
  • Educate patients and their families on the plan of care, exercises, goals, and self-care.

Qualifications for Home Health Occupational Therapists:

  • Current licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of Arizona.
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist program.
  • CPR Certification (demonstration course required).
  • Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Experience in home health preferred.
  • No Covid Vaccination Required.
