About the Role

We're looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you'll build high-quality mechanical assemblies using blueprints, hand tools, and standard work instructions. You'll work in a team-oriented, lean manufacturing environment that values precision, safety, and collaboration.

What You'll Do
  • Assemble and test mechanical and pneumatic subassemblies
  • Read and follow blueprints, diagrams, and written instructions
  • Use hand and power tools, grinders, and finishing tools
  • Identify and report non-conforming parts (complete NCRs as needed)
  • Document serial numbers, lot numbers, and revisions for quality tracking
  • Support continuous improvement and LEAN manufacturing initiatives
  • Occasionally assist with wiring, plumbing, or light TIG welding
  • Follow all shop safety practices and wear appropriate PPE
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of relevant assembly experience (mechanical or manufacturing)
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints/schematics
  • Experience with hand and power tools, and basic finishing techniques
  • Knowledge of LEAN principles (5S, waste elimination, problem solving) preferred
  • Basic plumbing, TIG welding, or pneumatic testing experience a plus
  • Ability to lift and operate manual or powered equipment safely
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
Required Skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Basic computer and data entry skills (Excel, Oracle preferred)
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
