At Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, we pride ourselves on providing innovative care to our patients. As a Surgical Technologist I in our General Specialty PM Shift, you will be an essential part of our surgical team, ensuring high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
Position Overview:
Your role will involve:
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient area for optimal patient care.
- Utilizing aseptic surgical techniques to prepare materials and equipment for various surgical procedures.
- Assisting with the setup of the operating room and ensuring the availability of sterile instruments and supplies.
- Functioning as a Second Assistant when needed.
- Transporting patients and equipment and ensuring all specialty carts are complete and in working condition.
- Demonstrating knowledge of age-specific patient care.
Your Qualifications:
We're looking for candidates who:
- Have completed an accredited program in Surgical Technology.
- Are certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers or willing to obtain it within six months.
- Possess strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and equipment used in surgical procedures.
- Exhibit excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Are physically capable of performing the demands of a surgical environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $26.10 - $39.15, and you’ll be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus, along with a $2,000 bonus specifically for PM shifts. Schedule:
As a full-time member of our team, you will work evening shifts of 8 or 10 hours, Monday to Friday, with on-call responsibilities primarily overnight and on weekends. Your prompt arrival is required within 30 minutes for on-call duties.
