Job Summary

The System Administrator provide supervising and mentoring of other network and system staff in the infrastructure division. Will also provide support and training to all IXS network users as well as assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of network policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administration and support of all IXS network servers.
  • Proactively monitor business applications
  • Maintain physical infrastructure in FSC
  • Create and refine standard operating procedures
    • Define and document SOPs for Help Desk
    • Publish self-service knowledge base articles
    • Develop organizational guidelines and policies.
  • Develop and maintain system integrations
    • Configure applications to utilize Single Sign-On with Azure Active Directory
    • Streamline business processes with automated solutions
  • Administration and support of Network Security and Backup.
  • Administration and support operations of Terminal Services and Lotus Notes.
  • Administration and support of email operations and telephone system (VoIP and Standard).
Qualifications

Education

Minimum Required: College Diploma or University Degree

Preferred: Program in Information System or equivalent

Experience

Minimum Required: 5 years

Preferred:6 years network administration

Job Specific Skills

Minimum Required:
  • Must be team oriented.
  • Must have and maintain an appropriate and valid Driver's license. Use of own vehicle is an asset.
  • Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred:
  • Familiar with administration scripting languages (i.e. PowerShell).
  • Familiar with operating systems (i.e. Windows 10, Windows Server 2019, VMWare ESXi and vCenter).
Working Conditions

The following working conditions are present or expected on a daily basis:
  • Travel may be required
  • Ability to conduct presentations.
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
