Clinical Nurse II

Join our dedicated team in the Post Cardiothoracic Surgery unit, where you'll make a meaningful impact on patient care while working a 36-hour week with day shifts.
About the Role:
- As a Registered Professional Nurse, you will assess, coordinate, plan, and manage the care of patients throughout their hospital stay, focusing on their journey toward a successful discharge.
- Your responsibilities will include implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, and performing necessary treatments and procedures.
- You will evaluate diagnostic tests and apply sound nursing judgment to make informed patient care decisions.
- Collaboration is key, as you will work with our nursing team to develop and maintain individualized plans of care.
- You will lead and guide ancillary personnel while upholding high standards of professional nursing practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of a professional nursing program leading to a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory.
- Prior experience as a PCA or nursing assistant is preferred.
- A commitment to ongoing education and quality improvement in patient care is essential.
