The Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice (OJJ) is committed to protecting the public by providing safe and effective individualized services to youth, who will become productive, law-abiding citizens. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker 6-B to provide advanced clinical services to youth in custody. This position involves direct therapeutic care, case management, and coordination of treatment plans in a secure care or residential setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, a trauma-informed approach, and a deep commitment to youth rehabilitation.

Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) plus:

A master's degree in social work followed by five years of social services experience.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans

  • Provide direct therapeutic services, including individual, group, and family counseling

  • Collaborate with facility staff, families, and external agencies to support youth development

  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case reviews

  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation

  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards and agency policies

  • Assist with crisis intervention and behavioral support as needed
