Overnight Receiving Team Leader

Purpose

The Overnight Receiving Team Leader is pivotal in managing and overseeing warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and productivity in our retail stores. You will lead a dedicated team of warehouse specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators, while effectively managing daily freight schedules based on customer and inventory requirements.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferred, ideally in a warehouse or distribution center environment
• Strong interpersonal and team-building skills with a knack for delegating and following up
• Ability to foster effective working relationships across various departments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Competent in basic mathematical calculations
• Proficient in Windows-based systems and computer applications
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
• Willingness to work extended hours, particularly during peak seasons

Essential Functions

• Schedule daily warehouse personnel to ensure optimal staffing for efficient shipping and receiving
• Oversee daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and maintenance
• Manage Storage Buy transactions and resolve receiving errors
• Ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of warehouse equipment, including preventive maintenance
• Implement and supervise safety programs in compliance with OSHA regulations for a safe workplace
• Provide comprehensive training and ensure adherence to all standard operating procedures
• Manage the progressive disciplinary process through counseling and documentation as needed
• Resolve employee inquiries and address operational challenges
• Collaborate with other departments for seamless warehouse operations
• Complete Activity Reports for management review
• Facilitate timely data entry by monitoring paperwork flow
• Address discrepancies in shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports
• Execute the Storage Buy Audit COP effectively
• Ensure products are staged for accurate counting and inspection
• Organize product storage for space conservation and safety compliance
• Oversee inventory rotation within the warehouse
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Working Conditions

• Work in a warehouse environment with frequent exposure to moving vehicles. The noise level can be moderate to noisy.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

The role requires the ability to exert 30-60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20-30 pounds frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly for lifting and moving objects. The employee must regularly use hands and fingers to handle, stand, walk, reach, climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Saturday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Pickup Hours

Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Saturday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
