Quality Control Supervisor

Basic Job Function: Assists the Director of Housekeeping and Assistant Director of Housekeeping in the supervision of all housekeeping operations, including conducting daily room inspections, to ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained in guest rooms and public areas.
Essential Functions:
• Conducts daily room inspections to ensure compliance with cleanliness and adherence to brand standards.
• Inspects all guest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and all public area space, including the public restrooms, upper and lower lobby, Chi Locker rooms, and restaurants, on a regular basis to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
• Verify that all maintenance issues are reported.
• Follows up on outstanding maintenance requests and Out of Order/Service rooms and monitors their status.
• Re-inspect rooms after corrections have been made to ensure issues are resolved.
• Conducts weekly LQA inspections and provides on-going feedback on job performance.
• Track recurring problems and identify training needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols.
• Minimizes waste, misuse or abuse of supplies and equipment. Monitors and establishes proper par level.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
• Reports all suspicious persons or activities and hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Security Department.
• Provides instruction and/or guidance for guest and employee safety in fire or other emergency situations.
• Responds to guest questions. Provides guest assistance, direction and information as requested when in the public areas.
• Performs line employee job functions in emergency situations.
• Performs a variety of other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Education/Training Requirements:
• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma required.
• Degree in Hotel Management preferred or Certification in Housekeeping.
Experience/Skill Requirements:
• Two (2) years experience in Housekeeping operations required.
• One (1) year supervisory experience required.
Licenses/Certifications:
• Certification of tuberculosis clearance required.
• CPR and Standard First Aid Certification preferred.
• Ability to complete HAZCOM/SDS Training.
• Ability to complete Blood Borne Pathogen Training required.
Mental Capacity & Organizational Skill Requirements:
• Ability to access, understand and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
• Ability to effectively operate various office equipment such as, but not limited to a 10-key calculator, typewriter, facsimile and photo copying machine.
• Ability to pay attention to detail, handle multiple tasks and have a high level of patience.
Communication Requirements:
• Ability to read, write and speak English in order to communicate effectively with employees and guests, and to understand oral and written instructions.
• Ability to effectively deal with customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.

• Ability to move throughout the hotel property while performing the essential job functions.
