Cable Technician

Data Center Technician – Leesburg, VA

Pay: $28–$32/hr | Mon–Fri, Standard Business Hours

Overview

Seeking a Data Center Technician to support hardware installation, cabling, troubleshooting, and general data center operations in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Install/remove servers, routers, power supplies, and related hardware

• Support rack/stack work, labeling, documentation, and cabling pathways

• Install, terminate, and test Cat6 and fiber optic cabling

• Perform basic hardware upgrades and OS installs

• Assist with troubleshooting hardware, cabling, and basic network issues

• Maintain accurate records and asset labeling

• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and test equipment

Requirements

• 1–2 years exp. for Tech I | 5+ years for Tech II

• Experience with data center hardware, Cat6, fiber, rack/stack

• Ability to read basic drawings/schematics

• Ground‑up data center construction experience required

• Strong communication and attention to detail

• Basic knowledge of servers, SANs, and networking

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office

This is a Contract position based out of Leesburg, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.50 - $35.00/hr.
