Job Description

Job Title: Civil Estimator / Project Manager

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Civil Estimator/Project Manager with experience estimating and managing projects involving excavation, underground utilities, and grading. The ideal candidate has a strong background in residential subdivisions and commercial site development and can oversee projects from bid through closeout.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed estimates for civil construction projects including earthwork, utilities, and site development.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports to develop accurate scopes and quantities.
  • Solicit subcontractor and vendor pricing; evaluate proposals and prepare competitive bids.
  • Manage awarded projects, including scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and cost tracking.
  • Oversee field operations to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and according to plans.
  • Maintain communication with owners, inspectors, engineers, and internal teams.
  • Handle project documentation, RFIs, change orders, and progress reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Experience estimating and managing excavation, utilities, and grading work.
  • Background in residential subdivision development and commercial site development.
  • Strong understanding of civil construction methods, production rates, and site logistics.
  • Proficiency in estimating software, plan reading, and project scheduling.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
