Baptist Medical Center is currently looking to add a Pharmacist to our Pharmacy at Baptist Clay located in Fleming Island, FL. This is a full time, evening shift, working 7 on, 7 off from 12:00 PM - 11:00 PM.
As a Hospital Pharmacist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use across inpatient care. Your day will include reviewing and verifying physician orders, monitoring drug therapies, preventing interactions, and collaborating with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to directly impact patient safety and quality of care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
As the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:
- Enters orders with great accuracy.
- Checks technician work for accuracy prior to release of medications and solutions to the floor.
- Supervises technicians and serves on committees as assigned.
- Answers questions for all health care professionals.
- Serves as a consultant for members of the medical staff.
- Monitors patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics service.
