JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Tooling Technicianin Athens, AL . Our client is seeking an experienced Tooling Technician to join a dedicated team. The Tooling Technicianis a hands-on role and will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, setting up and operating manual machines, performing precision measurements, and maintaining tooling and dies. A strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail will help you thrive in this role.

Responsibilities of a Tooling Technician includes:
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
  • Set up and operate manual machines (lathes, mills, drills, grinders)
  • Perform sanding, polishing, and finishing work
  • Conduct installation of dies with knowledge of hydraulic and electrical components
  • Utilize hand tools including die grinders, files, and sandpaper
  • Measure parts using precision tools
  • Maintain a safe, clean workspace and support continuous improvement initiatives
Job Requirements of a Tooling Technician:

  • Knowledge and familiarity with hydraulics and electrical components
  • Manual Machining
  • Precision Measurement Tools (Required)
  • Experience with TIG/Arc welding is a plus
  • Forklift experience is a plus
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift and perform manual labor as required
REQUIRED Experience and Education:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2+ years of experience in a tooling or machining environment
  • Experience with manual machines and precision measurement tools
  • Blueprint reading skills
