Your Role:

As the Supply Chain Operations Leader, you will drive a team to ensure the timely and complete delivery of all orders. Your leadership will focus on developing and executing strategies to meet daily, weekly, and monthly operational goals.

You'll work hand-in-hand with senior management to achieve operational excellence, maximizing productivity, accuracy, and budget adherence. Your role will also include recommending improvements to processes, participating in the hiring, training, and coaching of team members, and using operational reports to assess performance and ensure goals are met.

Safety is our top priority, and you will be a key leader in promoting our safety culture by ensuring adherence to safe work practices.

As a leader, you will significantly contribute to the success of Staples Supply Chain as we empower our customers with timely deliveries.

What You Bring:

  • Strong ability to calculate and plan team headcount effectively to meet operational objectives.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative approach at all levels of the organization.
  • In-depth understanding of transportation systems, productivity standards, and technology solutions.
  • Practical experience in coaching drivers through check rides.
  • Commitment to quickly adopting and promoting safety procedures in the workplace.
  • An inclusive mindset that values diverse perspectives and seeks the best solutions for customers and employees alike.
  • A commitment to leading by example with a growth-focused leadership approach.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic proficiency in English, both verbal and written.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 3 years of transportation experience.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving history that meets company standards.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening, as permitted by law.
  • Willingness to obtain a 6-month DOT medical card specific to the role.
  • Physical ability to lift, lower, push, pull or carry up to 70 pounds by hand.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
