Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new clients and families, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for all backgrounds.
  • Provide tailored outpatient individual and family therapy based on the unique needs of each client, fostering their healing and resilience.
  • Develop comprehensive crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention plans, and wellness plans to assist clients in maintaining stable functioning.
  • Participate actively in case consultations, agency meetings, and discharge planning, contributing your expertise to enhance overall client care.
  • Complete billing, documentation, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms promptly, maintaining high professional standards.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, administrative staff, and fellow therapists to deliver a holistic approach to mental health care.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, or related field.
  • Provisional license, if required by state regulation.
  • Educational background leading to professional licensing.
  • Passionate about mental health and dedicated to providing high-quality care.
  • Committed to ongoing professional development, including free supervision and continuing education.
  • Eager to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong ethical practice commitment and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
  • Effective time management and efficient completion of documentation and administrative tasks.

Columbia Mental Health is dedicated to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation range for this role is $47 - $55 per billable unit. Actual compensation may vary based on licensure, experience, market-driven enhancements, and available incentives. These ranges reflect our current compensation practices and may adjust over time to maintain competitiveness and align with our organizational needs.
