Athenix Solutions Group is looking for multiple Cloud System Architects for a large program in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. The Cloud System Architects will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Cloud Infrastructure Services hosted in multiple cloud environments.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide Tier I/II and Tier 3 (Escalation to Architecture Team) resolution of customer capacity requests
  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and utilizing cloud based compute resources
  • Serve as the technical point of contact between the customer and the Architecture and Capacity Engineering teams
  • Maintain currency of relevant documents and update the Wiki and SharePoint knowledge bases
  • Provide Tier I/II support
  • Follow established guidelines for delivery of cloud based resources
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of customer resources
  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and utilizing cloud based compute resources
  • Serve as the technical point of contact between the customer and the Architecture and Capacity Engineering teams
  • Deploy new solutions into existing cloud resources or off-premise infrastructure
  • Write software scripts using scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby
  • Plan and implement Infrastructure as a Service (IiaaS) and Platform as a Service (Paas) using tools like OpenStack, Eucalyptus, OpenShift, and Kubernetes
Requirements

All openings require a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance to start.

The Level 2 Cloud System Architect shall possess the following capabilities:
  • Strong knowledge of cloud solutions included but not limited to AWS, OpenStack and Microsoft Azure products
  • Demonstrated experience using tools like OpenStack, Eucalyptus, OpenShift, and Kubernetes. Must possess one active mid-level or advanced cloud certification (i.e. AWS, Azure, OpenStack)
  • Must have 9 years of related work experience and a bachelor's degree in a related technical field
  • Must work with little to no prescriptive guidance
  • One (1) year development experience with both Linux and Windows workloads using cloud technologies
  • One (1) year demonstrated experience writing software scripts using languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby
  • Certifications: Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M with a minimum certification of IAM Level II
The Level 3 Cloud System Architect shall possess the following capabilities:
  • Strong knowledge of cloud solutions like AWS, OpenStack and Microsoft Azure products
  • Experience building cloud applications for performance, resiliency, availability and scale
  • Experience with container management systems (k8s, EKS) in production. Experience with Github
  • Must possess one active mid-level or advanced cloud certification (i.e. AWS, Azure, OpenStack)
  • Must have 12 years of related work experience and a bachelor's degree in a related technical field
  • Must work with little to no prescriptive guidance
  • Two (2) years of development experience with both Linux and Windows workloads using cloud technologies
  • One (1) year demonstrated experience writing software scripts using languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby
  • Certifications: Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M with a minimum certification of IAM Level III
