JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: OB/Gyn Laborist Job Type: Permanent Full-Time Location: Munster, IN Service Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient Schedule: 144 hours of service per month (1,728 hours annually) On-Call Expectations: Phone availability required Start Date: Approximately 90120 days post-offer, pending credentialing PATIENT POPULATION & SCOPE Patient Demographics: Obstetric and gynecologic patients Admissions & Rounding: Included Consults & Follow-Ups: Yes Case Mix/Clinical Focus Areas: Labor and Delivery, OB/Gyn procedures FACILITY & TEAM DETAILS EMR System: Epic HIMSS Stage VII Specialty Backup: Nurse practitioner support in both inpatient and outpatient settings Support Staff: Collegial team of system physicians Leadership & Reporting Structure: Hospital-employed physician model Reason for Opening: Growth and expansion of women's health services CREDENTIALING & COMPLIANCE Board Requirements: BC/BE in Obstetrics & Gynecology DEA & Certifications: DEA, CSR required Credentialing Timeline: 90120 days COMPENSATION & PERMANENT BENEFITS Base Salary: Highly competitive (negotiable MGMA guidelines) Incentive Bonus Structure: Contract bonuses based on RVUs Relocation Assistance: Negotiable CME Allowance: Exceptional CME funds available PTO & Holidays: Flexible time off Health & Retirement Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision insurance plans 403(b) retirement plan with employer match Malpractice Insurance (with tail, if applicable) Licensure reimbursement (license, CSR, DEA, dues/subscriptions) REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Board Status: BC/BE in Obstetrics & Gynecology State License Required: Eligibility for Indiana medical license Certifications: DEA, CSR Experience: Previous OB/Gyn or laborist experience preferred Additional Requirements: EPIC proficiency, interest in collaborative patient-centered care DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide obstetric and gynecologic care within an inpatient setting Deliver and manage laboring patients and obstetric emergencies Support gynecologic surgical procedures and consults Collaborate with advanced practitioners and nursing staff Document care accurately using EPIC EM
