The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep, safety, and functionality of buildings, equipment, and grounds. This role involves performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to support smooth facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical components.

• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.

• Troubleshoot and repair issues related to building systems, fixtures, and machinery.

• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

• Assist with facility upgrades, renovations, and installations.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.

• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and other staff when specialized repairs are needed.

• Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives within the facility.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Physical ability to lift, climb, and perform manual tasks.

Work Environment

This position involves traveling between three different properties located in Lincoln and Ashland. The role requires physical activity, including lifting and climbing, to perform various maintenance tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
