Your compassionate approach will be essential in delivering preventative, diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and perform clinical respiratory services as directed by protocols or providers.
  • Deliver, set up, and provide thorough instruction on respiratory equipment to patients and their caregivers for optimal care.
  • Develop and implement personalized service plans, assessing patient needs and determining therapy appropriateness.
  • Promote and market respiratory services effectively within the health care community.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and perform maintenance on oxygen concentrators and therapy devices as outlined in reference manuals.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment management and maintenance in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on equipment usage, safety protocols, and infection control practices.
  • Assist in collecting patient and insurance information while ensuring compliance with billing and documentation standards.
  • Provide on-call services as needed, ensuring responsive patient support after hours.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Current Respiratory Therapist license in the State of Michigan.
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program or possess a minimum of one year relevant experience.
  • Excellent patient care and clinical assessment skills in a home care or health care environment.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid, clean driving record, with the ability to drive in various weather conditions.
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience in marketing or promoting clinical services within the health care sector.
  • Familiarity with insurance documentation and regulatory compliance for medical billing.
  • Knowledge of infection control procedures in home care settings.
  • Background in conducting training or educational sessions on respiratory equipment.
  • Previous experience providing on-call or after-hours clinical support.
