Martin Marietta seeks an intern for our Internal Audit team. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about learning new skills and who possess a high drive to succeed and excel for success and excellence. This position is located at our corporate office in Raleigh, NC. This role is not remote, and the candidate will be expected to come into the office daily.

Skills prerequisites:
  • Accounting or Finance major (minimum 3.25 GPA)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate closely with team members and various operations and corporate personnel
  • Analytical and inquisitive
  • Growth mindset with ability to multitask and be effective in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to quickly learn and become comfortable using new systems and technology
  • Perform all activities in accordance with the Company's Mission, Vision, and Values, and in compliance with the Company's policies, procedures, and Code of Ethical Business Conduct
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
While you assist audit team members in this role, you can expect to gain an understanding of:
  • Data analysis and how to use it in support of audit planning, execution, and reporting
  • Proper documentation and how to execute audit assignments in a timely manner
  • How to apply professional accounting and auditing principles in a variety of accounting, financial and operational audits
  • How to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and reliability of data
  • Evaluate the sufficiency of and adherence to internal policies/procedures and regulatory compliance
  • How to create effective working relationships with operational and functional management helps ensure the department is viewed as a business partner
