Job Description

Billing Clerk
In office position, 8-5 pm Monday-Friday

Compensation: $20 per hour

Location: Indianapolis - north

Our client is seeking immediate assistance in identifying a Billing Clerk for a temp to hire position in Indianapolis, IN.

Responsibilities:

  • Work assigned customers through imaging workflow daily - audit, invoice and reconcile driver pay
  • Receive inquiries regarding billing and payroll and research to respond as quickly as possible
  • Follow through with any open issues to ensure proper resolution and engage appropriate person/department
  • Process payroll correction/exception forms within deadlines
  • Monitor and follow through on balances and corrections within deadlines
  • Back up other billing auditors and imaging clerks when needed
  • Mail freight and miscellaneous bills with high attention to detail to customers
  • Ensure excellent accuracy in all phases of billing
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Prior experience in billing
  • Billing in transportation/logistics industry preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • General office skills with computer proficiency
