We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer / Linux with robust Linux Infrastructure Engineering skills to enhance our agile product team. The right candidate will possess substantial experience in traditional infrastructure design, including platform, storage, and networking resource provisioning. Familiarity with DevOps/DevSecOps and modern technologies is also essential. This role focuses on system updates and upgrades with an emphasis on Linux Server and OS expertise and involves interaction with program management and customers during Technical Exchange Meetings.

The Senior Platform Engineer / Linux will engage in the development and implementation of compute, network, and storage systems, while also improving the overall platform design through emerging technologies. This includes working with existing operating systems and server hardware designs, as well as assisting in the development of new modernized system architectures.

Note: This position requires on-site work in Aurora, CO, and may involve occasional travel to customer sites for system upgrades and implementation activities.

What You Will Do:

• Leverage company and industry best practices to develop and communicate infrastructure solution implementations.
• Maintain existing systems using Linux-based tools and manage the COTS stack to support program requirements.
• Assist with the integration of selected platform provisioning tools such as VMware.
• Ensure consistency of COTS stack and versioning across the platform; collaborate with the team to make necessary updates.
• Travel to customer sites to assist in system updates and deliveries as needed.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• BS/BA Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) fields such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Physics with a minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
• Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).
• Proficiency with VMware.
• Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go).
• Current TS/SCI CI Poly security clearance is required on day one.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with Linux LDAP for account creation and management of roles and permissions.
• Proficient in Linux Bash scripting for automation and management of existing scripts.
• Experience with modernization technologies such as Chef, Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher, etc.
• Knowledge of system hardening practices.
• Familiarity with AWS technologies.
• Understanding of Cisco IOS, Fiber Switches, and Cisco Server Hardware/Firewall implementation.
• Current Security Plus certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of onboarding.

Salary Range: 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. This is a good faith estimate representing various experience levels.
