The Midnight Mission
As a night shift RN in our SICU, you'll be at the forefront of patient care during the crucial overnight hours. Your expertise and vigilance will be the lifeline for post-surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring and treatment. This role is not for the faint of heart - it's for those who are passionate about making a difference when it matters most.
Your Superpowers (aka Responsibilities)
- Provide expert, compassionate care to critically ill patients recovering from complex surgical procedures
- Monitor vital signs, manage ventilators, and administer medications with precision
- Respond swiftly to changes in patient condition, making split-second decisions that can save lives
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring seamless communication between shifts
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery processes
- Implement evidence-based practices and stay updated on the latest advancements in critical care nursing
- Mentor and support new team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care standards

- California Registered Nurse License (active and unencumbered)
