Three facilities are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage.

About the Facility Location

The facilities are located in Pell City (1) and Birmingham (2), Alabama.

About the Clinician's Workday

Location 1: This site sees about 27K annual visits (74 daily) with 12 ED beds and no fast track/PIT. Coverage includes 24 MD hours in 12-hour shifts (6a-6p / 6p-6a) and 20 APC hours daily in 10-hour shifts (9a-7p / 1p-11p). EMR: Cerner. Location 2: This site has 39K annual visits (~2.35 patients per hour) with 37 beds (30-32 typically in use). Physician coverage runs a variety of 8-10 hour shifts weekdays and weekends, while APCs cover 27-28 hours daily with PIT on weekdays. No scribes. It is a Level 3 trauma center (currently on diversion), with specialty backup and admitting/bridging orders. EMR: Cerner. Location 3: This site manages 34K annual visits (92 daily) with 29 regular beds, 4 fast track beds, and 5 hall beds, plus PIT coverage. Coverage includes 40 MD hours daily in mostly 8-hour shifts (slightly extended on Mondays) and 20 APC hours weekdays / 10 on weekends in 10-hour shifts. EMR: Cerner.
