Join our exceptional Operating Room Team at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, the largest hospital in Wisconsin renowned for its innovative care. In this role, you will make a vital difference in patient care while developing your skills in a supportive environment.

Schedule/Hours: Full-time evening shifts (8-10 hours); potential on-call, mostly overnight with occasional weekend duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surgical instruments and the operating area using aseptic techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment conducive to optimal patient care.
  • Assist during surgeries by anticipating the surgical team’s needs.
  • Ensure equipment functionality and report any supply issues.
  • Transport patients and equipment as necessary.
  • Adhere to patient safety protocols and demonstrate age-appropriate care.

Licensure & Certification:

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 6 months.

Education:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.

Experience:

  • No prior experience required.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and operating room procedures.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling with 30 lbs of force, and more.
  • Exposed to hazards such as blood and body fluids; proper PPE use required.
