Java Big Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Big Data Engineer with a strong background in Big Data technologies and hands-on experience in testing and validation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing scalable data pipelines, working with large datasets, and ensuring data quality through rigorous testing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and optimize Big Data processing solutions using Java, Apache Spark, and other Hadoop ecosystem tools.
• Build and manage ETL pipelines to support data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
• Integrate automated testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, TestNG) into the development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for data pipelines and services.
• Collaborate with data analysts, QA teams, and product stakeholders to define test cases and ensure high data quality.
• Implement data validation, schema checks, and regression tests for data workflows.
• Ensure scalability, performance tuning, and monitoring of batch and streaming applications.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development and testing practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Java development.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka).
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, data modeling, and performance optimization.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, or custom test tools for Big Data.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
