About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Processor to support a leading grocery delivery and retail organization. This temporary, on-site position offers a full-time schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential overtime during year-end. The assignment is expected to last 1 to 3 months and involves ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. Job Description
In this role, you will:
- Process and post invoices accurately and efficiently using accounting systems.
- Review invoices for proper account coding and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Balance invoices keyed in the system against system reports to ensure accuracy.
- Process weekly Accounts Payable checks according to the established rotation.
- Prepare weekly reclassification journal entries.
Required:
- Proven experience in accounts payable or similar accounting functions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to review and validate invoice coding and compliance.
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work on-site full-time and manage potential overtime during peak periods.
- Experience in high-volume invoice processing.
- Familiarity with grocery, retail, or distribution industry accounting practices.
- Knowledge of journal entry preparation and reconciliation processes.
