Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Invasive Cardiology role focused on cardiac cath lab procedures, requiring active OH or compact RN licensure and advanced hemodynamic monitoring skills.

Responsibilities
  • Work in a hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting
  • Care for critically ill patients undergoing interventional cardiology and endovascular procedures
  • Assigned shifts may include 0630-1700, 0700-1700, or 0800-1800, with holidays and on-call shifts determined by unit rotation
  • On-call duty includes STEMI response with a required 30-minute callback and minimum of 4 hours per event
  • Proficiency with EPIC, XPER, and Change Healthcare EMR systems is required
  • Must manage preoperative and postoperative patient care, including ventilator management
  • Primary responsibilities include caring for cardiac patients during interventional and endovascular procedures
  • Must participate in unit’s on-call rotation and respond to STEMI cases within 30 minutes
  • Exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, chemicals, and cleaning agents may occur
  • Holiday shift coverage is assigned according to unit rotation
  • No COVID-19 vaccination requirement specified
Requirements
  • Active, current OH or compact RN license
  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a Cath Lab setting
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
  • Proven skills in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care
  • Experience in monitoring and sedation of patients during invasive procedures
  • Proficiency with advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including IABP and IMPELLA devices
  • Experience managing ventilators
  • Ability to lift up to 300 lbs and push/pull up to 500 lbs with assistance
