Job Summary: You will provide oversight and supervision to ensure high-quality care for all residents during your shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding resident information and personnel matters.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and maintain established standards of practice.
  • Manage staffing effectively, including covering call-offs and reallocating staff as needed.
  • Assist attending physicians in delivering care and prepare resident charts for visits.
  • Monitor residents' health problems and communicate findings to physicians, coordinating follow-ups as necessary.
  • Review clinical records for accuracy and completeness; document all relevant observations and updates.
  • Orient new nursing personnel on your shift to ensure they understand procedures and protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding resident health and address any concerns.
  • Act as a liaison between residents, families, and healthcare providers, offering education on treatment plans.
  • Prepare daily reports for the incoming supervisor, highlighting significant updates.
  • Provide direct care when needed and demonstrate exemplary nursing practices.
  • Supervise nursing staff to ensure safety, resident care, and customer service standards are upheld.
  • Contribute to the planning and evaluation of nursing care and address any resident care issues with sound judgment.
  • Report severe issues, concerns, or incidents timely to administration and seek guidance for external reporting.
  • Implement emergency plans in the case of disasters or crises.
