Job Summary and Qualifications

Qualifications:

1. Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of MRI. Associates of Science or higher is preferred but not required.
2. Experience: At least four years of MRI experience.
3. Completion of ongoing training and competencies specific to the patient population is necessary.
4. Preferred: A year of leadership/supervisory or management experience.

Licenses, Certificates, or Registrations Required:

1. Required: ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT, Texas Medical Board License, BLS (American Red Cross).
2. Preferred: ARRT (MR)

Your Role:

1. Supervise staff, ensuring effective workflow and staffing in the imaging department.
2. Exhibit proficiency in MRI systems and related equipment.
3. Maintain clean and stocked inventory, ensuring optimal equipment functionality.
4. Streamline workflow for timely patient processing and minimal room turnaround time.
5. Oversee personnel tasks including training, performance evaluation, and motivating staff.
6. Work independently and collaboratively, employing problem-solving skills effectively.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. May handle radiopharmaceuticals and account for controlled substances.
2. Assist in training new employees and engaging in continuing education initiatives.
3. Provide care across different patient demographics with necessary knowledge and skills.
4. Facilitate Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives in the Radiology Department.
5. Maintain a valid CPR certification within specified timeframes.
6. Build collaborations with other departments and supervisors to support best practices.
7. Champion the mission and vision of the organization while demonstrating excellent service.
8. Comply with safety policies and ethical conduct guidelines established by the healthcare system.
9. Complete additional duties as assigned.
