Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Hiring:
- Manage training and personnel files effectively.
- Establish an organized application flow log.
- Conduct applicant interviews with professionalism.
- Administer pre-employment drug and background checks.
- Ensure thorough completion of all required paperwork and documentation for submission to the corporate office.
- Training of Operators:
- Deliver engaging classroom instruction that meets or exceeds MV Transportation's high standards.
- Conduct essential skills course training as needed.
- Design and implement effective cadetting and training schedules, coordinating with the Operations Manager.
- Provide behind-the-wheel training and observations as required.
- Maintain comprehensive training records for all participants.
- Facilitate ongoing training opportunities to ensure the success of new operators.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Possess a clean driving record.
- Must hold a valid Driver's license for a minimum of three (3) years.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a current DOT physical.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that foster a positive learning environment.
- Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Strong organizational skills are essential.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service.
- Willingness to act as a back-up for the Safety Manager and perform Road Supervisor duties as needed.
- Able to perform all operator duties as necessary.
- 1-3 years of training experience required; Behind the Wheel Instructor experience preferred.
- Classroom instruction experience preferred.
