$10,000 SIGN-ON Bonus Eligible with distance-based relocation available AND $2,000 SIGN-ON Bonus Eligible for PM Shifts
Schedule/Hours: Full-time evening shift with 8 or 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday with on-call duties. Call slots typically include overnight slots and 1-2 weekend calls within an 8-week schedule. Call hours may vary, requiring a 30-minute arrival time.
Major Responsibilities:
- Create a safe and efficient environment, adhering to aseptic surgical techniques during the preparation of materials and equipment.
- Assist with various surgical procedures and maintain knowledge of multiple procedures.
- Ensure the operating room is disinfected and efficiently prepared, responding to equipment and supply needs.
- Transport patients and maintain specialty carts, ensuring readiness and compliance.
- Exhibit knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care for patients, ensuring their specific needs are met.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months unless exempted by the department leader.
Education Required:
- Completion of an accredited program in Surgical Technology.
Experience Required:
- No previous experience is necessary.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and operating room equipment.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment. Physical demands include lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, and transferring patients.
- Exposure to various hazards and the requirement to wear protective gear.
- Must be able to perform tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and twisting throughout the shift.
