Job Title: AccountantJob Description
This position is a key member of the water accounting team, responsible for collaborating with water subsidiaries and the parent company's Financial Reporting and Consolidation teams. The role ensures the production of high-quality internal and external financial reports. The accountant will engage in various accounting functions, including preparing monthly journal entries, handling intercompany transactions, and performing monthly reconciliations.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with water subsidiaries and the parent company's Financial Reporting and Consolidation teams.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and manage intercompany transactions.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Engage in year-end reconciliation processes.
  • Utilize Excel for data analysis, including using Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP.
  • Participate actively in month-end close processes, handling 55-65 journal entries.
Essential Skills
  • 2-3 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficient in SAP, including SAP S4 Hana.
  • Strong skills in Excel, particularly Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP.
  • Initiative and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Personable and professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
  • High attention to detail and effective communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with year-end reconciliation is a plus.
  • Any additional SAP certifications or training.
  • Advanced Excel skills are advantageous.
Work Environment
The position offers a hybrid work schedule, with two days in the office (including Tuesday) and one flexible day, while the remaining three days are work-from-home. The role may require working one day on the weekend and staying past 5 PM during the month-end close.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Portland, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $48.07/hr.
