The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Training Program is an exciting, entry-level opportunity designed to prepare you for a Store Management role within 18-24 months. With our strong promote-from-within philosophy, successful participants can advance to an Assistant Store Manager position after completing an initial 8-week training program.

This position typically requires a commitment of 44 hours per week, which may include evenings and/or weekends, and will place you in charge of managing a million-dollar business alongside experienced store management.

During the program, you will gain invaluable insights into operations, client interactions, and strategic planning, all while contributing to the store's success through direct engagement with high-volume commercial customers such as painting contractors and purchasing agents.

Your daily duties will involve customer interactions, which may include minors, and handling various forms of payment, merchandise, and valuable store items. Due to this responsibility, a review of criminal history is required to ensure the safety of our customers and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship.
  • Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Must hold a bachelor's degree by the start date of this program.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. occasionally with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one (1) year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
  • Leadership experience supervising others or leading teams.
  • Team-oriented work history, including extracurricular activities or military service.
  • Experience selling paint and related products.
  • Familiarity with timekeeping and customer relationship management systems.
  • Willingness to relocate for future opportunities.
  • Ability to communicate in more than one language, particularly Spanish.
