About the Role
As a Facilities Operations Manager with CBRE, you will lead a dedicated team responsible for overseeing all building operations and maintenance across a campus of office buildings with an annual operating budget of approximately $4M.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership through formal supervision of staff, including training, performance evaluations, and mentorship.
- Manage the daily activities of your team by establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and facilitating cross-training.
- Coordinate facility repairs and maintenance in collaboration with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
- Foster strong client relationships by proactively addressing and resolving facility issues.
- Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports effectively.
- Conduct thorough facility inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while identifying opportunities for operational improvements.
- Ensure environmental health and safety protocols are properly implemented across facilities.
- Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing processes, including reviewing cost proposals for parts and services.
- Lead training sessions on maintenance, repair procedures, and safety standards.
- Model leadership behaviors aligned with CBRE's core values of respect, integrity, service, and excellence, while negotiating shared interests towards mutually beneficial agreements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is preferred, with 3-5 years of relevant experience; a combination of education and applicable experience may also be considered. A valid driver's license is required, and Facility Management certification is a plus.
- Experience in staffing processes including selection, training, development, and performance management is highly desirable.
- Proven leadership skills to effectively motivate teams and enhance quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
