Our bakery is a centerpiece of our offering, known for creating delectable pastries, cakes, and bread. We are currently seeking a Bakery Assistant Counter Help to join our team and contribute to our tradition of excellence in baking and customer service.

Job Description:
As a Bakery Assistant Counter Help at Stroudsmoor Country Inn, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our bakery's customers. You will be the first point of contact for patrons, assisting them with their orders, offering expert advice, and ensuring a delightful bakery experience. Your responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Answer questions, provide recommendations, and help customers with their bakery selections.
2. Order Processing: Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently, including cakes, pastries, and bread. Ensure that orders are prepared according to the customer's specifications.
3. Cash Handling: Handle cash and electronic payments, provide correct change, and maintain a balanced cash register.
4. Stock Management: Maintain clean and well-organized bakery display areas. Restock products as needed to ensure an appealing presentation.
5. Food Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area. Follow food handling and storage guidelines to maintain product freshness and quality.
6. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the bakery team to assist with baking and preparation tasks as needed, such as packaging, labeling, and decorating baked goods.
7. Customer Relations: Build and maintain positive customer relationships by addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service experience is a plus.
- Basic math skills and cash handling experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of bakery products and the ability to make recommendations.
- A passion for high-quality food and excellent customer service.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
