Campus Overview

Kettering Health Main Campus

  • Kettering Health Main Campus, formerly Kettering Medical Center, is the flagship hospital of Kettering Health and has been serving Kettering, Ohio and the Greater Dayton area since 1964.
  • The facility includes the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Heart Hospital, maternity service with a level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and level II Emergency Care.
  • In 2020, KH Main Campus received an “A” from the Leapfrog Group, a national patient safety watchdog, ranking among the safest hospitals in the United States.

Responsibilities & Requirements Job SummaryThe MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality MRI exams in a timely manner while maintaining a strong understanding of MRI safety protocols, including those related to research workflows. They interact positively with multiple patient populations and serve as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team. Flexibility is essential, as the position may require on-call availability and holiday coverage. Performs other duties as assigned.Job RequirementsMinimum Education• Graduate from ARRT accredited MRI educational program ORGraduate from ARMRIT accredited MRI education programMinimum Work ExperienceOne year of MRI experience preferred.Required LicensesOtherARRT (MR) or ARMRIT at hire (Preferred)ORARRT in one of these Radiography (R)/Nuclear Medicine (N)/Radiation Therapy (T)/ Sonography (S) required and get ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT within 24 months of hire dateCurrent BLS RequiredRequired Skills• Proficient in operating an MRI scanner and adjusting imaging parameters• Well-versed and compliant in MRI safety and understands research workflow for MRI safety requirements• Patient positioning & comfort while ensuring patient safety• Emergency response• Attention to detail• Critical thinking and problem-solving• Time management• Empathy and patient care• The ability to work independently and work well with team members.• Capable of performing timely, quality MRI examsEssential Functions• Perform MRI Examinations• Ensure Patient Safety and Comfort• Administration of Contrast Media• Maintain MRI Equipment and Safety Standards• Collaboration with multi-disciplinary health care team• Document and Manage Patient Information• Research of Implantable Devices for MRI Compatibility• Adhere to Compliance and Regulatory Standards• Assist with Workflow and Operational Efficiency
