Purpose

Wondr's Platform Engineering Team is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior React Native Engineer to lead the development of complex, high-performance healthcare applications. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and shape the future of our mobile application platform. You'll be working alongside web engineers, product managers, and QA on your team to ensure scalability and parity across platforms. You'll be the go-to person for native app development on your team.

Essential Functions

• Design, develop, andmaintainrobust, scalable mobile applications using React Native, Expo, and other relevant technologies

• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code adhering to industry best practices

• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior and mid-level developers

• Optimizeapplication performance for speed, scalability, and reliability

• Own andmonitorapp health and performance metrics

• Work with backend teams to integrate APIs and data sources

• Stay updated on emerging mobile development trends and technologies

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with a proven history of delivering high-quality mobile applications

Technical Skills

• Advancedproficiencyin React Native and TypeScript

• Experience with state management libraries (Redux,Zustand, Context API)

• Mobile testingexpertise(Jest, Detox) and CI/CD processes (Fastlane, GitHub Actions)

• App store deployment experience (App Store Connect, Google Play Console)

• RESTful API integration and AWS infrastructure experience

• Native module integration and debugging capabilities

Leadership & Collaboration

• Experience workingcross-functionally, building alignment between product vision and scalable app delivery

• Strongverbal and writtencommunicationand interpersonal skills, driving trade off conversations and decision making

• Expert atidentifying,communicating,andmitigatingrisks

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare technology experience and HIPAA compliance knowledge

• Video codecs and streaming protocols experience

GENERAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

General office working conditions can be remote work from home or in the office. Each department head determines if position is work from home or hybrid meaning works from home and in the office as needed. Work schedules vary. When working in the office pod workstation area has little or no privacy. Involves extended periods of sitting at a workstation performing computer duties. Constant flow of interruptions by personnel, visitors to the area and telephone calls. Private workstations are available as needed. Certain positions are assigned an office.
