Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of PeopleSoft Financial Functional Analyst within our team NYS Information Technology Services located in Albany, NY. This is a contract position, term TBD. In 2012, New York State centralized IT operations across 52 agencies, marking the largest IT consolidation in state government history. The Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) now leads this transformation, delivering consistent, high-quality services by maximizing resources, enhancing accountability, and fostering innovation.To support ongoing modernization efforts-such as the post-pandemic digitization of state services-ITS created a Master Service Agreement (MSA). This provides specialized consultants, as needed, to assist application development across CTO units and other ITS teams, augmenting internal capabilities and meeting evolving agency needs. )

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive functional support for PeopleSoft 9.2 HCM modules (Base Benefits, eBenefits, Benefit Administration), ELM, and Financials (General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Commitment Control).
• Set up and maintain configuration/base tables, troubleshoot functional and system issues, and assess the impact of patches, updates, and customizations on module functionality.
• Elicit and document business requirements, translating them into scalable PeopleSoft solutions and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
• Research and evaluate new functionality delivered via Oracle PUM Images, and provide mentoring and leadership to system analysts and project teams.
• Design and document end-to-end business process workflows, Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), and execute functional and QA testing across multiple modules.
• Participate in PeopleSoft and PeopleTools upgrades and implementations, including creation of test scenarios, test scripts, and system validation procedures.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with technical teams to resolve batch schedule and job stream issues, analyze production impacts during outages, and troubleshoot production-related incidents.
• Design and configure Workflow solutions, including documentation of protocols and contingency procedures for process failures.

Qualifications:

Level 1: between 3 and 7 years of experience

Level 2: more than 7 years of experience with 2 or more years in a leadership role

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven experience in functional support of PeopleSoft 9.2 HCM, ELM, and Financials modules.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to assess system configurations, customizations, and patch impacts.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in documenting business processes and functional requirements.

Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive issue resolution independently.

Experience collaborating with technical teams in a production support and upgrade environment.

Familiarity with Oracle PUM Image analysis and workflow configuration best practices.

The wage range for this role reflects the wide array of factors considered in compensation decisions. These factors include, but are not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, licensure certifications, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are based on the unique facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the hourly range is $ 85 .00 - $ 95 .00.
