Description: Safely transport students to and from school and school-related events while adhering to all federal, state, and district regulations.

Essential Functions
  • Ensure student safety and compliance with transportation rules.
  • Transport students on assigned routes and schedules.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections and report mechanical issues.
  • Maintain a clean vehicle and complete required records.
  • Enforce student behavior expectations and report incidents.
  • Handle emergencies, including evacuations and medical assistance.
  • Support field trips and other school-sponsored events.
Qualifications
  • Ohio Class A or B CDL with S and P endorsements.
  • Current Ohio Pre-Service School Bus Driver Certificate.
  • Valid FBI & BCI clearance.
  • First aid certification and knowledge of child behavior management.
Working Conditions
  • Interaction with unruly children and exposure to noise, fumes, and weather conditions.
  • Occasional lifting of students or equipment (up to 90 lbs).
  • Extended periods of sitting and repetitive motions (e.g., steering).
