The Platform Product Group engineers aim to create a reliable, scalable, and compliant operating platform that delivers speed, efficiency, and quality. Our teams build and maintain critical systems for Coinbase, encompassing various areas including Product Foundations, Identity, Payment, Risk, and more.

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join our Payments team. This team is dedicated to developing innovative payment solutions that empower both individual consumers and large-scale institutions in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. By creating cutting-edge payment infrastructures and user experiences, we enable seamless transitions from traditional currency to the world of crypto, enhancing financial accessibility. Your role will involve designing and scaling systems that deliver essential payment services for securely onboarding our global customers into the crypto economy.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend and frontend payment systems that support various Coinbase products.
• Take ownership as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for significant projects, driving them from design to production with accountability.
• Work collaboratively with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to transform our vision into a practical roadmap.
• Mentor and coach other team members, contributing to a strong, inclusive, and high-performing engineering culture.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex fullstack issues, ensuring optimal performance, stability, reliability, and security.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.
• Proficient software engineering skills with the ability to build reliable backend services and fast, accessible user interfaces that handle real-world scenarios.
• Strong background in backend technologies (e.g., Golang) and API design.
• Experience with modern front-end technologies, including JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Excellent collaboration skills with product, design, and engineering teams.

• Familiarity with Golang, gRPC, Docker, Kafka, AWS Cloud, SnowFlake, or Databricks.
• Experience in the financial sector.
• Knowledge of cryptocurrency, including onchain interactions and decentralized applications (dApps).

Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual salary for this role ranges from $186,065 to $218,900 USD, along with bonus eligibility, equity, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
