About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing and refining automated solutions, ensuring high-quality tests and code contributions. You'll play a key role in creating and executing test plans for various products while utilizing AI tools to enhance automation processes and boost testing efficiency. Your contributions will span multiple areas, including:

Test Planning and Analysis

• Examine business requirements and design specifications for complexity and testability.
• Analyze and comprehend testing protocols and requirements.
• Gather insights from stakeholders and end-users to discover automation solutions in alignment with development and QA objectives.

Automation Design and Execution

• Identify opportunities to automate team processes and operations.
• Design, develop, and execute QA tests utilizing effective automation scripts.
• Employ AI tools to streamline test automation, enhancing accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure comprehensive coverage of automation solutions to resolve identified errors.
• Promote a more efficient testing strategy resulting in high-quality products.

Collaboration and Communication

• Provide input and escalate issues during bug triage meetings while working closely with the development team.
• Actively participate in product sprint ceremonies.
• Track, manage, and report on the progress and goals of automation efforts.

Industry Trends and Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated on trends, technologies, and AI tools in automation that could influence our business.

About You

You would be a great fit for this role if you have:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance.
• Proficiency in writing clean, modular, reusable code, preferably in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience with testing tools such as Playwright is preferred.
• Experience in Backend, Frontend, and API test automation.
• Experience utilizing AI tools for test automation.
• A strong understanding of test methodologies and techniques.
• Experience in an agile development environment.
• A systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach.
• The capability to understand performance guidelines to achieve results.
• The ability to adapt to changing priorities as per organizational needs.
• The capability to provide consistent effort and work within deadlines.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. national security clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship is essential to comply with government contract requirements.

Thomson Reuters offers a comprehensive benefits package that may include market-competitive health, dental, and vision plans, retirement savings with company match, and up to two paid mental health days off annually, among others. This role has a base compensation range of $88,200 - $163,800 depending on experience and internal equity. An Annual Bonus may also be available based on performance.
