At SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital, we believe that health care is more than just a career; it’s a calling. We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinic on a PRN basis.

Job Overview:

As a Behavioral Health RN, you will provide compassionate and direct patient care in a supportive environment. Your skills will be crucial in assessing and responding to the needs of our behavioral health patients, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough admitting and shift assessments on assigned patients in a timely manner.
  • Utilize critical thinking to analyze patient data and communicate changes in condition to the physician.
  • Engage in the creation, evaluation, and modification of multidisciplinary treatment plans.
  • Document all nursing care accurately and adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Implement and evaluate physician orders consistently and accurately.
  • Monitor the safety of both patients and the environment within the unit.
  • Supervise and support LPNs and Nurse Technicians in delivering care.
  • Provide education to patients and families based on assessed needs and document accordingly.
  • Apply evidence-based practices to ensure care meets individual patient needs.
  • Exhibit professional nursing standards in all interactions and decisions.
  • Maintain a state of alertness and safe practices throughout your shift.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the team and patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • No prior experience required—new graduates are encouraged to apply

Physical Requirements:

  • Ongoing verbal communication is essential.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and patient handling is required.
  • Ability to lift and move objects and patients as needed.
  • Visual acuity to assess patients and distinguish colors.
  • Ability to detect sounds related to patient care and alarms.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (with compact state options available).

Work Schedule:

Day Shift (PRN - As Needed)
