We are excited to invite a full-time Nocturnist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to our renowned Cardiothoracic Surgery program. This is your chance to be part of a dynamic team in a collaborative, high-acuity environment.

Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in Cardiac or Cardiothoracic Surgery ICU and floor patient management.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team-oriented, high-acuity setting.
Work and Call Schedule
- Overnight 4/10 schedule for improved work-life balance.
- In-house APP manages overnight call from 8:30 PM to 6:30 AM.
- Rounding and evaluation of CVICU and floor patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage overnight CVICU and floor patient rounds.
- Engage in multi-disciplinary care planning and quality assurance initiatives.
- Provide direct care, counseling, and education to adult cardiac surgical patients.
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Develop plans of care based on diagnostic findings.
- Issue medications and prescriptions as per policies.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation.
- Perform bedside procedures and assist in the operating room.
- Demonstrate expert clinical judgment in an independent role.
- Participate in continuing medical education.
- Additional responsibilities as needed by the department.

This position will remain open for at least 3 days and until a suitable candidate is found. Note that we are unable to support visa candidates for this role.
Qualifications for Physician Assistants:
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in Colorado.
- PA-C certification from NCCPA, maintained throughout employment.
- Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe medications.
- Eligibility for Medicare and Medicaid services.
- No sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Qualifications for Nurse Practitioners:
- Master's degree in Nursing and graduation from an accredited NP program.
- Nurse Practitioner Certification from ANCC or AANPCB, maintained throughout employment.
- Unrestricted NP license in Colorado.
- Prescriptive authority eligibility required.
- BLS certification.
Exceptional Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of $115,000 - $150,765 + 10% overnight differential.
