As a Distinguished Engineer specializing in the Servicing Platform, you will play a crucial role in shaping innovative technology solutions that impact our customers and associates. We are looking for a visionary individual contributor who excels in collaboration, problem-solving, and mentoring within the engineering community.

About the Role:

  • Lead and drive adoption of cutting-edge technologies and engineering practices.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to address and solve some of Capital One's most challenging technical issues.
  • Mentor and uplift the skills of engineers and product teams, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Act as a trusted advisor in specific technology domains, influencing implementation strategies.
  • Enhance our platforms focusing on security, performance, and usability to ensure best-in-class offerings.
  • Effectively communicate and influence stakeholders at multiple levels across the organization.
  • Encourage an inclusive environment where ideas are valued and explored.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 7 years of experience in software engineering or solution architecture.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud computing with providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • At least 1 year of experience in implementing ML/AI solutions on enterprise platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree and over 10 years of experience in software engineering or solution architecture.
  • Experience designing and building enterprise platform solutions for 7+ years.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development practices for more than 5 years.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS for 4+ years.
  • Experience defining software design and architecture best practices for at least 3 years.

This position is located in McLean, VA, with a salary range of $263,900 - $301,200. Candidates in Richmond, VA can expect a salary range of $239,900 - $273,800. This role is eligible for performance-based incentives and comprehensive benefits.
