job summary: Our client is seeking a meticulous and skilled Lab Assistant to fill a 3-month contract role in their Pompano Beach, FL histology laboratory. This on-site position involves the full spectrum of histology duties, supporting patient diagnostics in a high-volume, regulated environment. location: Pompano Beach, Florida job type: Contract salary: $50 - 55 per hour work hours: 7 to 3 education: Bachelors responsibilities: Tissue Preparation & Analysis: Perform all routine activities for preparing slides for microscopic evaluation by the pathologist, strictly adhering to established protocols. Core Histology: Expertly accession, label, and process all tissue samples. Perform routine embedding, microtomy, and prepare slides for Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) staining. Specialized Staining: Prepare solutions and reagents and perform required special stain procedures. May also assist with Immunohistochemistry (IHC) testing. Quality & Compliance: Strictly adhere to quality control policies, meticulously document all QC activities, and ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP , and all federal/local regulations. Lab Operations: Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
