Join our dynamic team as a technical leader within a group of 200 engineers and program managers dedicated to excellence in engineering and innovation in architecture. As an OCI Compute Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of cloud infrastructure by collaborating across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure teams to deliver robust solutions. You will be recognized as the go-to consultant for architectural leadership, providing guidance to senior engineers and partners.

You will be an esteemed expert in cloud architectures and services, contributing to strategic directions that influence the organization's long-term objectives. Your leadership will span operational, architectural, and product initiatives, directly impacting our core offerings of Autonomous Database, Compute, Storage, and Networking.

About Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI):

OCI is engineered for enterprises, delivering a foundational platform that supports critical business operations. With offerings that encompass a wide range of services, including security, streaming, notifications, and compute capabilities, OCI is designed to meet the demands of global, multi-tenant environments.

Compute Engineering:

At the core of OCI lies our expansive infrastructure, providing customers with bare metal and virtual machine capacity. The Compute Engineering team is responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of CPU and GPU servers, ensuring that our customers can rely on the health, availability, and performance of our systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary technical leadership for a team of approximately 200 engineers and program managers.
  • Drive innovative redesigns to enhance the management of CPU and GPU server capacity and improve the foundational services of OCI Compute.
  • Lead by example, fostering a culture of collaboration, high standards, and technical excellence within the team.
  • Maintain high operational standards, with a strong focus on availability and resilience.
  • Design and deliver scalable customer-facing cloud services that make a substantial business impact.
  • Engage regularly with C-level executives and establish senior-level relationships with customers and partners.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Exceptional communication skills and a strong sense of product development.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructures and host-level design.
  • Over 12 years of experience in delivering large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, or Java, along with experience in scripting languages like Python or Perl.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.

Please note that Oracle offers a competitive range of salaries and benefits to ensure equitable compensation across roles. The hiring range for this position is $136,600 to $338,500 per annum, with eligibility for bonuses and equity.
