The Material Handler will pull all orders to be sent out to customers and remote facilities. They are responsible for the proper handling of inventory for job orders in different departments through data entry & checking logs. This includes properly identifying and returning to stock any remnant materials. They will review jobs, ensuring needed materials are available. Involves hand braiding and the constant use of a grinder & hand tools. They are responsible for maintaining a clean work area. Required to cross train across company departments based on business needs.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review of BOM's for accuracy
- Report any discrepancy of BOM to Material Coordinator / Lead for correction
- Stages bulk hose and braid to departments for use
- Escalates and Material Shortages/Discrepancies to Material Coordinator / Lead
- Weighs, tags, & returns reels
- Pulls bulk orders for customer shipments as required
- Returns any remnant hose to its correct inventory location with proper identification.
- Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
- Responsible for getting and loading material for saws
- Navigates computer to check the system and send emails to Warehouse Department whenever necessary
- Uses grinder & hand tools daily
- Handles anything that does not come off of a rig or ferris wheel
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
- Proficient math skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be able to read a tape measure, dial calipers and micrometer.
- Tow motor experience required.
- Experience in manufacturing or similar industry is preferred, but not required.
