Job Description

With the support and resources of the Director of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy Manager, the Clinical Pharmacist will work independently under minimal supervision and work cooperatively with health system and pharmacy staff. You will provide professional pharmaceutical services by verifying orders, dispensing medications and related supplies, monitoring patient medication therapies, providing drug information to healthcare providers, and overseeing the work of direct support personnel. The ideal Clinical Pharmacist will have the ability to set priorities in an environment with frequent interruptions and be able to adapt to changes in workload and work schedule. Critical care experience is desired.

Regions Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center serving adults and children in Minnesota and western Wisconsin for more than 150 years. Working at Regions Hospital, you will meet the care needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric as well as specialty groups (e.g., psychiatric, oncology, obstetric, medical, surgical, and rehabilitation patients). The hospital provides health care services for Saint Paul and its surrounding communities, as well as for patients who come from greater Minnesota, Western Wisconsin and other Midwestern states. Regions Hospital is part of the HealthPartners family of care.

Work Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday a.m./p.m. rotation with every other weekend.
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy.
  • Current license to practice pharmacy in the State of Minnesota.
  • Currently functioning in a decentralized capacity OR completion of a post-doctoral pharmacy program (e.g., residency or fellowship such as PGY1 or PGY2 American Society of Health System Pharmacists-accredited pharmacy program) OR board certification (e.g., board certified pharmacotherapy specialist).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Critical care experience.

Additional Information:
This is a union 0.9 FTE (72 hours per pay period) day/evening shift position working in Saint Paul, MN. The full salary range for this position is $74.83-$85.22 per hour, based on experience. This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is eligible for benefits.
